Woundcare Products, Support Surfaces and Pressure Redistribution

http://woundcareequipment.com

Genesis Medical Inc. help our customers achieve clinically effective and cost-conscious outcomes for their patients by providing innovative products, services, systems and program. Examples of Genesis Medical's support surface products are made by Roho and HydroAire Group.

Roho's Dry Floatation O.R. Pad is used an Acute Care woundcare product for never events, pay for performance and the operating room. Assisting in healing and skin break down prevention, the Dry Floatation mattress is the most effective support surface. For the Home, Acute and Long term car industry, Roho makes wheelchair cushions with interconnected air cells, providing low deformation, counter-pressure environment. The wheel chair cushion assists in the healing of ischemic ulcers and is appropriate for the high risk patient, useful for never events and F-tag 324.

HydroAire, Lightening the Pressure,

• AFT is a better solution for patients who have not improved on Group 2 surfaces, and a potential solution for patients ‘capping out’ on Group 2 surfaces.
• Patients who have had skin flap procedures are great candidates!

Fluidization – How does it work?
High-powered blowers force air through the diffusers, setting microspheric beads into motion. As the patient lies on the fluidized surface, his or her body displaces some of the microspheres, providing partial submersion and, therefore, spreading pressure over a larger skin surface. Likewise, because the fluidized beads have less density than water, additional reduction of interface pressure is achieved. Air flow that reduces maceration is a beneficial by-product of air fluidization.

ATF: For medical facilities and home health agencies that want better outcomes
for patients with non-healing Stage 3 or 4 pressure ulcers on the trunk or pelvis
